Telnet for Windows 2000 and Windows ME.

There is a nice bug in the Telnet program supplied with these operating systems. When you type your password, local echo is switched off so others cannot see what you are typing. Unfortunately, Telnet fails to switch it back on again! Luckily this can be done manually:

When this happens, usually after password entry, then press 'CTRL ]'. This enters command mode. Type 'set local_echo'. Then press return twice.
